Here at Ecotone Farm, summers are hot and humid so our farm production comes to a seasonal slow down other than our fruit trees and a few select crops. But that doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy around here. We have undertaken and completed several infrastructure improvements over these last few months in order to keep expanding our crop production area and methodologies. For example, we added about 1/4 acre of new container production for zucchini, squash, okra, egg plant and other select seasonal crops. We also have expanded our irrigation system to accommodate our 1 acre field production on our east field as well as servicing our market area more efficiently.
We are excited for the upcoming season, despite the lingering impacts of Covid-19. We are anticipating our farm market to open for the season on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 8 am. We look forward to seeing all of our friends and making new friends so that we can share the local farm market experience!
